Maria Ruvio, lives in Whitestone NY, with her husband and is a proud parent of 2 adult children.
She was born and raised in a NYC suburb by a first generation, hardworking, entrepreneurial Italian American family.
Her grandfather's uncle, Frank Taormina, was the founder of Progresso Foods. "As a toddler, I can remember driving down a dirt road in Vineland, NJ, and seeing cans of tomatoes and beans loading up in the trunk of our family's car." Says Maria
After graduating St. Agnes High School, in Queens, NY, She started her career with technical training at The Wood School in NYC where Maria learned the fundamentals of administrative assistant skills which gave her an eye for detail that she uses in everything she creates.
Maria's passion for entrepreneurship and desire to give children healthy nutrient-rich breakfast is the driving force behind her creation of Zabalatte.
Zabalatte, named after the Italian dessert, Zabaglione, is certainly one of those creations inspired by her heritage.
She hopes that one day your children will love Zabalatte as much as she did growing up.
